Church of The Fallen Ones

One of the factions in the Jane Everlasting RPG

Mysterious entities from form either another planet or realm, the Fallen Ones are a hivemind colony of invaders that attempt to assimilate the human race though bizarre and disturbed rituals, mocking many holy events such as christenings, weddings and funerals.
Working like a nest of ants, they live deep under the Earth's ground in fleshy organic labyrinths created from their own discarded body parts, as well as flesh from humans. They devour a single human to assimilate their appearance and walk among the human populace, with the aim to find ways to sterilise them en masse. Since all of the invaders are technically male, they cannot reproduce through conventional means, thus they must purge their human prey by stealing their reproductive cells to create their female queens, known as the Archangels.

Much like ants or bees, their are different types of these beings that work together to expand their territory on Earth and slowly wipe out the humans.
The Fallen Ones are wingless, but incredible thin and can morph a human shell around them as a disguise. Their job is to orchestrate mass hysteria with the use of hypnosis and creating disturbing alternate forms of religious ceremonies that will not only render all those attending sterile, but also with severe psychosis, increased aggressive behaviour and a tendency to commit suicide a few months after.
The Ancient ones are larger, cicada-like variants whose purpose it to protect and mate with the Archangel, to breed new invaders in the slow but steady race to take over the planet.

The Fallen Ones, though appearing sentient, are mad and single-minded, and cannot be reasoned with in any way. They can be taken down through violence, but their tendency to take human disguises and hypnotise other humans make these entities very allusive and dangerous.

If one pays close attention to a suspected Fallen One in disguise, and is aware of their hypnotic powers, they will notice that these beings will speak in a nonsensical "word salad" to roughly imitate human speech, and everyone else who is not aware of this will treat these jumble-up sentences as proper human speech, and will react however the Fallen One wishes them to react.
